Welcome to our club website

    We are an active BSAC scuba diving and training club based in Hereford. We enjoy diving in the UK and warmer waters abroad. Our club welcomes both new and established divers from various backgrounds, age and experience. We also have many associate and non-diving members, who enjoy all the social aspects of the club.

    With roughly 50% male and female divers we are a welcoming and friendly club and we look forward to meeting you at either our social evening on Wednesdays, Fridays at the pool or at one of our many social functions.  

 

    Hereford Sub Aqua Club is a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), the governing body for the sport of sub-aqua diving.

    We have an active group of divers who meet regularly to dive and share their experiences of the underwater world.  Training courses are regularly undertaken, to enable both newcomers to qualify and existing divers to progress. 


 

 



   Whether you want to undertake wreck exploration, underwater photography, marine biology or anything else underwater, we can help.

    In recent years we have acquired grants from the National lottery and Sportsmatch to name a few, and the club now boasts a generous collection of equipment, including 2 boats, a compressor and 6complete sets of training aqua lungs.

 

 
 
 
   

The club exists for the benefit of its members and operates on a not for profit basis. To encourage new members we offer 'Try-Dive' taster sessions, so you can experience real diving prior to enrolling on a course.  We believe we teach more local people to dive than any other organisation in the area.

    Training follows the BSAC course programme,
which has been recognised as the most comprehensive and thorough of any available in
the world today. The BSAC training methods have been adopted in many countries including Japan and Korea.
 
 


 
 
We are a club, and your membership subscriptions get you get many club benefits. Firstly and most importantly you will meet and make many more friends. People who will share a like-minded interest in diving in the UK and abroad, who have diverse interests and enjoy exploring the UK Costal waters. You have access to our club holidays, both our club RIB's, our compressor - so free air fills, our kit, cylinders, and all our training resources and many, many years of local diving advice. We have the pool booked on Fridays so you can complete your training, test equipment, or just have a leisurely or fitness swim in relative calm. We meet socially on Wednesdays at Hereford Rowing Club and over a beverage chat, plan and arrange our diving. Other outfits may offer to teach you how to dive but only through joining a club do you get so many more benefits and make friends for life.
